Arbitrum Airdrop Transfers Unclaimed Tokens to DAO
The Arbitrum Foundation has officially transferred the unclaimed tokens from its airdrop to its decentralized autonomous organization (DAO), the Arbitrum DAO. On Sept. 24, the foundation announced the news on X (formerly Twitter).
The amount of ARB tokens sent to the DAO is 69.4 million, which is worth around $56 million at the time of writing. The crypto slipped 1.6% over the past 24 hours, trading at $0.81, according to CoinGecko.
The Arbitrum Foundation has urged users to be safe when claiming ARB tokens, as they can no longer be claimed anywhere. “Please be safe out there,” the foundation added.
Arbitrum Crypto Airdrop
The Arbitrum Foundation recently announced the launch of the Arbitrum DAO and its native governance token, ARB. This crypto airdrop was estimated to be completed on Sept. 24 and allowed eligible Arbitrum users and developers to receive up to 12.75% of the token’s supply of 10 billion, or 1.275 billion ARB. Data from Dune Analytics revealed that 93% of eligible users had claimed the tokens, leaving 0.69% of ARB’s total supply of 10 billion unclaimed.
