Anthony Scaramucci’s Remarks on Sam Bankman-Fried

At a panel at Collision 2023 in Toronto, Canada, Anthony Scaramucci, the ex-White House Communications Director and creator of Skybridge Capital, commented that disgraced crypto executive Sam Bankman-Fried “caused great damage to the industry in the United States from a regulatory standpoint.” Scaramucci then added:

When inquired about his opinion on the crypto regulatory framework in Canada compared to the United States, Scaramucci declared that “Canada took a cue from the United States and set up their system in a similar fashion to how things were done in the United States.” He further clarified:

“Observing the Canadian crypto digital asset sector prosper, Scaramucci went on to say. For the politician and entrepreneur, Scaramucci has his sights set on Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao (CZ), a Canadian citizen, to take the helm of cryptocurrency exchanges in light of FTX’s downfall.”

In his closing remarks, Scaramucci acknowledged that CZ would still receive “a lot of flaming arrows,” yet he remains the “most influential person” in crypto. He noted that CZ has the largest platform and is the most likely to achieve mass adoption while still being a legitimate source operating in all major jurisdictions worldwide.
