Wallet crypto bot rolls out on Telegram in Colombia, SA and Kenya

Investing in Web 3.0

Wallet, a Telegram bot that enables users to buy and sell crypto, has just announced its global rollout in Latin America and Africa. The Open Platform (TOP), affiliated with TOP Labs and Wallet, will now be accessible in the Telegram settings menu for users in Colombia, South Africa and Kenya, as well as other countries in Africa and Latin America.

For months users have been able to access Wallet by clicking “@Wallet” on Telegram, but the recent update allows users to find Wallet directly in the settings menu without having to know much about crypto.

Web 3.0, also known as the Internet of Things, is a decentralized platform that has been gaining traction in the investment world. With its key features, such as DeFi, NFTs, and DAOs, Web 3.0 has become a popular investment option for those looking to diversify their portfolios. For those interested in investing in Web 3.0, Wallet now offers an easy and convenient way to do so, with its global rollout.

TON Space: Accessible Financial Tools for Developing Markets

In addition to its default custodial wallet, TOP’s Wallet platform also provides a self-custody solution called TON Space. This sub-wallet allows users to perform decentralized swaps within TON Space and transfer nonfungible tokens (NFTs) using the self-custody wallet.

TOP has chosen to begin its global rollout of Wallet in developing markets, to help users gain access to more financial tools and to take advantage of its widespread user base in the related regions.

“Our primary focus is on developing markets where the lack of available financial tools has created a natural need for crypto assets,” a spokesperson for TOP told Cointelegraph. “We know that Telegram is popular in these areas, so it made sense to start our global rollout there,” the representative added.

According to World Population Review, Telegram has 4.49 million users in Colombia as of 2023. Statista data shows that approximately 50% of internet users in Kenya and South Africa were using Telegram in Q3 2022.

The Benefits of Web 3.0

TOP, a crypto wallet provider, has announced that it will be rolling out its Wallet crypto bot in Latin America, Africa, Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, and Turkey in the first and second quarters of 2024. The company believes that these countries have a high rate of crypto adoption and are eager to take advantage of the features of Web 3.0.

The representative from TOP also mentioned that they prefer to start with smaller countries before scaling up the technical and operational sides of the Wallet. This, they said, will ensure that they are able to meet the demand as the rollout continues.

The CEO of TOP, Andrew Rogozov, commented that these changes to Wallet and TON Space are meant to make the crypto experience more accessible to mainstream audiences while still maintaining a high level of security.

Web 3.0, also known as the Internet of Things, is a decentralized web that enables users to access a variety of features, such as DeFi, NFTs, and DAOs. It also provides investors with the opportunity to invest in new and innovative projects.

Despite allowing Wallet to access the Telegram settings menu, Telegram has denied any association with Wallet or TOP, while Wallet also clarified that it was operating independently from Telegram.

Rogozov was earlier the CEO of VK.com, a popular social media platform created by Telegram founder Pavel Durov. He stepped down from VK in January 2022 to join the TON Foundation as a founding member. He also created First Stage Labs, which later merged with Wallet and was rebranded as TOP.
