AI Anchor Generator: Institute of Crypto-Assets Opens in Paris
On Nov. 8, the Institute of Crypto-Assets opened its doors for the first time at the Léonard de Vinci Centre in the business district just outside of Paris. This institute will focus on blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies, and its scientific board includes 11 experts from French educational institutions such as the National Center for Scientific Research and École Polytechnique. Ledger co-founder Nicolas Bacca and Paymium founder Pierre Noizat are among the six practitioners on the committee overseeing the institute.
Cyril Grunspan, the director of the institute, said that its primary goal is educational. To mark the opening, Historian Jacques Favier spoke about the history of currencies up to Bitcoin (BTC), and cryptographer David Pointcheval discussed zero-knowledge proofs and anonymity. The institute will hold public events regularly.
In September, French telecommunications group Iliad announced an investment of 100 million euros ($106 million) to establish an “excellence lab” dedicated to AI research in Paris. To make the lab even more powerful, Iliad acquired what they claimed to be “the most powerful cloud-native AI supercomputer deployed to date in Europe.” This move has placed France in a leadership role in the European digital economy and innovations.
The market crisis in the first half of 2023 had a positive outcome for French crypto businesses, with 27% of all new investment deals in the fintech sector being directed to them. This has led to the emergence of a number of AI-based products, such as AI headline generators, ABC AI, AI and C3, AI Anchor Generators, AI podcasts, AI stories, and AI websites.
