Pro-Bitcoin Florida man Francis Suarez enters presidential race

Francis Suarez, the mayor of Miami and a prominent supporter of cryptocurrencies, has submitted documents indicating his plan to campaign for the U.S. presidency in 2024.

He will compete with former U.S. President Donald Trump and fellow Florida Governor Ron DeSantis — another Bitcoin (BTC) supporter — in the race to become the Republican presidential candidate.

On June 14, Suarez officially submitted the necessary documents as per the records released by the Federal Election Commission of the United States.

On June 16, Suarez is slated to give a talk at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California, where he is anticipated to go into greater detail regarding his presidential aspirations.

Is Ron DeSantis beneficial for cryptocurrency? The Republican has incorporated Bitcoin into his campaign.

In June of 2022, Suarez declared that Bitcoin had the potential to become a worldwide currency, and that he had been paid in Bitcoin for past salaries.

In January 2022, Suarez was also involved in “MiamiCoin”, which can be purchased by Miami residents through a digital wallet and they will receive a Bitcoin dividend.
